Vision And Mission
NACOF (The National Federation of Farmers’ Procurement, Processing and Retailing Cooperatives of India Ltd.) is a national level cooperative federation promoting community-based and pro-poor developmental initiatives with the objective of fostering inclusive, sustainable and innovative development. We serve under the Ministry of Cooperation to create a strong India, self reliant India, and a futuristic India.
Vision
To act as a resource organization for sustainable catalytic development facilitating equitable, empowered and informed development processes for rural and urban communities in India, in areas of agriculture, environment, energy, skill, technology, renewable energy, and livelihoods.
Mission
- Empowering Cooperatives Nationwide: We are helping to improve cooperative societies in terms of working, finance and digitization. We aim to help the Ministry of Cooperation’s dream of one cooperative in every village, transforming grassroots institutions into vehicles of local development.
- Driving Sustainable Rural Development: NACOF is growing its business lines to include waste management, renewable energy and the urban-rural environmental interface. They aim to tackle environmental problems as well as generating green employment and promoting circular economy schemes.
- Skills Development and Entrepreneurship: We provide digital literacy, vocational trade and green technology skilling programmes for youth (both boys and girls), and women. Co-op based enterprises are core to this approach to sustainable living.
- Leading Innovation in Agriculture and IT manufacturing: We’re backing smart farming, agri-tech, IT hardware manufacturing to update rural economies. We are enabling cooperatives to promote their products through our digital platforms and e-commerce platforms which also includes the Government e-Marketplace (GeM).
- Promoting Inclusive Growth and Social Equity: Our cooperative structure empowering the marginalized with government schemes, credit, infrastructure & participatory governance. We encourage community control and democratic management for socially just development.
